Hello everyone!!

Good Morning all!!

I am still around, but not much stitching has been done at all over the last few months, and now that I am studying full time, I doubt I'm going to be doing much at all for a good while longer.

This course is rather fun, but very technical and so have to get a grasp on all the different subjects.

Hopefully I will get some stitching done in between, even if it is only on small items.

Until next time

Wow! Over a month since I last posted!! (Lots of pics)

Good Evening to you all!!

I cannot believe it has been over a month since I last posted on here, and I'm sad to say, since I've got any serious stitching done!!

We have been rather busy though with hubby doing his final exams and then getting things sorted for graduation, etc.

As you probably know from previous posts, hubby was in the process of studying for his law degree. Well, in May he took all his exams and received his results 2 days before his birthday in June. He achieved his dream of getting an LLB in Law with First Class Honours!!

I cannot express how absolutely thrilled I am for him, he has been studying/reading law since before we got together 10 years ago!

Last week was the graduation ceremony, and oh boy was it a long day. The smallest bug stayed at Grandad's house for the day (he couldn't travel to the graduation due to age/health) so he volunteered to look after the little one with his neighbour.

The graduation ceremony was due to start at 4pm, so we arrived 2 hours early to collect the cap and gown and so that I could snap a few pics.

As his dad couldn't make the graduation ceremony, but wanted to have pics with hubby in his gown, we decided to have a photo shoot at his house. Here are some pics from them (to note: I did not wear this particular dress on the day - it was currently drying when we did these photo's)

Needless to say, it has been a very exciting month or so and my plans tonight are to get some stitching in whilst hubby is out fishing. Fingers crossed my little bug lets me do that haha.

Until next time

Good Morning and an almost page finish

Good Morning everyone!!

Today marks the first day back to school after half term, I can't believe how fast time is going this year. It won't be long and we will be on the big summer holidays and then my son starts junior school, and I start University!!

Don't you just wish that time would just slow down sometimes?!

Anyhoo's...I have almost got a page finish with SK Home Is Where The Magic Is, I literally have about 10 stitches left haha.

Here is how it is looking right now:

Unfortunately, all those 10 stitches are different colours lol.

With a bit of luck, I will get those few stitches complete and I can then start the next page :)

In other news, I finally found some matting sheets perfect for my fairies (when they are all completed). I bought 4 sets of double mats, the outer sheet is cream, whilst the inside is gold. I think it will set them all off perfectly :)

Until next time

Page Finish....Finally :)

Good Evening to you all!!

On Friday afternoon, I finally managed to get myself a page finish. For some reason I had a few stitches which were confetti like and they seemed to take absolutely forever to get done lol.

Here is how it looks:

That little column marked in blue is the next page haha. Hopefully this will not take as long to complete :)

Until next time

Good Evening!!

Good Evening to you all!! I have been absent for the last few days as I haven't really got any stitching done at all. Most of my time has been spent with hubby since he finished his last exam on Friday.

Today has been the first day since then that I have done any stitching and thought I'd do a quick update before getting back to it.

Here is how Home Is Where The Magic Is looks now:

I am getting pretty close to having this page finished :)

Until next time

Home Is Where The Magic Is Update

Good Evening to you all!!

Today has been an awful day weather wise, we've had nothing but rain since around 6am. I am hoping that tomorrow is going to be a drier day lol.

I hope you have all been keeping well and being very creative.

I'm hoping that once hubby has done his last exam (tomorrow morning), I will have a bit more time to stitch and maybe have a page completion.  I'm still working away on Home Is Where The Magic Is and I have to say I love all the different shades of blue/purple it has.

Here is how it is looking now before I do some more on it tonight and over the weekend.

It is looking a bit out of shape due to being in my qsnap, but it will straighten out once finished.

I hope you all have a fantastic and creative weekend.

Until next time

Good evening to you all on this lovely Saturday evening!!

I also notice I have some new followers *waves to all new followers* If you leave a comment with your blog link, I will definitely return the follow and have a nosey at your creations!!

I hope you are all doing well and being creative. I have had an extremely productive few days working on my HAED.

I've completed most of the first page, whilst watching storm chasers chase some storms in the US!!

Here is how it is looking right this moment:

I'm looking forward to reaching the sparkling snow very soon.

Good Evening!!

Good Evening to you all.

I hope everyone has had a great bank holiday weekend!! I for one have enjoyed the extra day off from school runs.

This week marks the start of exams for hubby, he has two this week and then another two over the next 2 weeks. He is looking forward to being past all this revision. It is his last year in University now and hopefully if he passes his exams he will walk away with a degree in Law.

For the last few days I've been stitching on my new HAED start called Home is Where the Magic is by Spangler. It is a story keep, so is only a few pages long.

Here is how it is currently looking:

This is just two colours almost done on the first page. With a bit of luck, I can get a bit more done on this tonight before having to put it away.

Until next time

Good Morning and an Update

Good Morning to you all!! I hope you all had a great weekend and that lots of productive crafting was achieved.

Over the last few days I have been working on my Joan Elliott Mystery Faces SAL and trying to get caught up. I'm glad to say that I am slowly getting there with it, but as yet, I am still undecided whether I want to stitch the charts for the little squares or not.

Here is my progress over the last few days and how it currently looks right now.

The 3rd Large face completed

The 4th Large face which is in progress

How the whole piece is looking right now.

I am hoping to have this face completed in the next few days and I also need to finish the border.

Once the next chart has been released, I will make a decision on what I want to put into the little boxes.

I hope you all have a productive week.

Until next time

Evening all!!

Good Evening to you all!! I hope you have all had a productive weekend, I haven't really as I've been busy trying to cheer up the little one who has chicken pox.

On the plus side of the chicken pox..it is now going away HOORRAYYYYY!!!! I will be so glad when this is done and dusted as I have literally had enough of germs haha.

I have come up with a few pieces that I need to get done before I start university in September and with a bit of luck and more than 5 minutes I can achieve just that.

The projects I am hoping to complete are:

Spring Fairy and the Joan Elliott Mystery Faces SAL that is on Facebook. That will then leave me with 2 smaller projects and 3 HAED's on the go LOL. (OK, one HAED is a story keep so is much smaller).

Hopefully I will have another update for you at some point this week so until next time I hope you have a very crafty Sunday evening and week.

Until next time

Chicken pox galore and an update

Good Afternoon to you all!! Isn't this weather we are having lovely? I for one am enjoying not being so cold all the time haha.

I hope you are having a better week than I am at the moment.

The chicken pox virus currently has us in its grasp and now both my daughters have it, and needless to say they are itching like crazy.

My littlest daughter doesn't look too impressed that I had to cover her with calamine lotion today as can be seen here:

I can't even run the brush through her hair at the moment due to her having them all on her scalp too.

Needless to say, I will be glad when all this is over as I haven't had a great deal of sleep lately with them all being up and down throughout the night with fevers and itching.

I have managed a little bit of stitching since my last update, but it isn't much as I've been on cuddle duty and school run for my little boy.

Here is how Spring Fairy is looking at the moment:

I hope you are all having a productive week, even in this sunshine we are having here is South Wales lately.

Until next time (when hopefully all the chicken pox will have gone away!)

WIP Update: Spring Fairy

Good Evening to you all!!

I am here again with another update on Spring Fairy. I seem to have caught the bug to finish her although the stitching has been spotty on some days due to my son having caught the chicken pox.....it has been a very germ high Easter break this year lol.

He is now on the mend thanks to lots of calamine lotion and an antihistamine medicine to help the itching and help him sleep.

I am now 3/4 of the way done with Spring Fairy, which for me is the third of the set of 4. I am now working away on the last page of her, and all I will have to do at the end is the beading.

Here is how she is looking now:

With a bit of luck I will hopefully have a finish very soon. It will be my first finish for a long long while.

Until next time.

Spring Fairy Update

Good Afternoon to you all. I hope you are all keeping well and crafting away.

This week for me has been awful, the kids decided to bring home the gift of a stomach bug that went round 3 of us within the space of 3 days, thankfully my oldest daughter and husband didn't catch it, but oh boy...I'm hoping it has gone for good now.

I have been stitching away on my Joan Elliott Spring Fairy for the last few days, and I'm almost done with the third page.  Here is how she is looking at the moment before I do more a bit later on.

As the chart is spread over 4 pages, I've been completing the back stitch as I finish a page. All beading will be left until the end so that way I can't break the beads lol.

Hopefully tonight will see the completion of her skirt and I can start the backstitch and move on to the next page.

Until next time

Big Changes and some updates

Good Evening to you all.

It has been a wonderful, sunny and warm day today in the South of Wales, makes a nice change to the cold.

As my title suggests, there are going to be some big changes coming to my household starting from September.

As I am nearing my 30th birthday, I thought it about time I got my life sorted and going in the direction I wanted it to instead of going day by day, so.....I applied to University and took up driving lessons.

I found out yesterday that my application to attend a 'brick uni' was accepted and I start full time in September WOOP WOOP!! I will be studying Finance and Accounting while the hubby takes care of the kids and studies for his masters.

I'm also currently taking driving lessons, but so far I am only a few weeks into that and so the nerves are still quite high.

In between all this madness, I have managed to do some stitching and I'm getting ever closer to having my long term WIP finished. Here are the update pictures:

Page 9 progress on Moon Goddess HAED.

Progress on Joan Elliott's 12 Days of Christmas.

So far I now have days 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and 9 completed. I have made a start on day 12 but there isn't a great deal of progress to show.

I hope you all have a wonderful evening and manage lots of craftiness.

Until next time

New Stash...

Good Evening to you all!!

I know...it has been a while since my last post.....again.

For some reason lately, even though I have been stitching, I have basically made zero progress on anything.

I did however purchase 2 new charts from HAED when they had their sale last time round. I bought 2 story keeps:

StoryKeep: Home is Where the Magic Is (Randall Spangler)

StoryKeep: Magic Arrival (Anne Stokes)
I have made a start on Home is Where the Magic Is, but as yet it is basically just a dark blob LOL.

I may pull out Moon Goddess again and do more on her. Fingers crossed I can get back into it again and get out of this little ditch I'm in with the stitching.

Hope you are all keeping warm and well.

Until next time

Spring Fairy and Joan Elliott SAL Updates

Good Morning to you all.

It is rather chilly out there this morning, and whilst on the school run, we had a few flakes of snow....nothing really to write home about though, but I sure wish we'd get a huge downfall so my little one can have some fun in it (she's never seen snow before).

Whilst it has been cold, other than the usual housework, I have been nestling under the blanket on the sofa with my stitching. I've been working on Spring Fairy and the Joan Elliott SAL. It has been a long time since I've stitched on Spring Fairy, and I think it is about time she got finished.

Here are how both projects are currently looking:

I am planning on finishing the skin on the above fairy today and hopefully completing her, minus beads, all of which will be added at the end so I can't break them with my frame.

Until next time, I hope you all keep warm and safe.
